Vintage Necklace!

Happy Weekend everyone! I'm excited to post about a stunning necklace I purchased on etsy from a fellow blogger baublesbanglesandbeads that sells Vintage findings! She's a really sweet and fashionable girl! I frequent her blog and Etsy Shop, always finding things I love. And, they are affordable! It's really a win win! I plan to buy more from her in the future for sure. Definitely check it out!

It was packaged in a beautiful bag that I will store the necklace in =)! as well as her pretty business card. I can't wait to wear it...which will be soon! And i'll definitely post a pic =)

Viva La Glam

I love how M.A.C is always coming out with new shades of make-up, usually inspired by a current celebrity, style, etc. Right now there's a new Nude shade of Lipstick and Gloss inspired by none other than Lady Gaga. Nude lipstick/gloss is my go to for every day. I use up my Satin Myth Lipstick by M.A.C probably every month! It's perfect and goes with any look. Looks like I'm going to have to try this Lady Gaga shade asap. All the proceeds go toward the M.A.C Aids Fund!

Here are some images of past M.A.C cosmetic lines inspirations!

The Heatherette Duo

Disney's "Venomous Villians"

Dame "Edna Everage"

Wonder Woman Comics

Who will be the next inspiration? I can't wait to find out!

How do you store your make-up?!

Make-up, clothing, jewelry & shoes....every girl has a lot of them, but sometimes it's difficult to store them! I've bought divider drawers from The Container Store like these:

They were great for organization, but took up too much counter space! I also tried cosmetic bags big and small, but when I moved to Chicago and had the smallest bathroom known to man, I needed something easy to store away that was sturdy, easy to clean and easy to find my makeup in. Surprisingly, the solution was a clear plastic rectangular shoe box for $1.99 at Bed Bath and Beyond. A simple and dirt cheap solution! I keep the lid on it while I'm not using it so it can be stored away easily.

I recently sifted through my make-up and got rid of a lot but once I start compiling more I'm not sure if this will still be an optimal storage space! We'll see =)

Downtown Wednesday!

I guess the few days last week that were in the 60's were just a tease....as today and yesterday have been in the 30's. Uggh! Oh well, I got to wear something cute =)

I went downtown with my boyfriend to do some walkin and shoppin so I had to wear something comfortable but cute at the same time! It's hard to tell from the picture but my leggings have a shine/shimmer to it. I love the look of tights or leggings with shorts! That's something I could never wear in Florida.

My Navy and white striped boatneck shirt is from Club Monaco, Shorts-Forever 21, Leggings-thrifted!, Fur fold over boots-TjMax, Purse-Jimmy Choo, Black Leather Gloves- Club Monaco

I was very good today and didn't spend over 20$! Considering I was downtown Chicago on Michigan Ave and State Street, (the mecca of shopping) I did very veryy well! I ventured to a lot of stores but only spent $ at Forever 21 and only looked around in the accessories/beauty section on the 1st floor (of three). I was ecstatic to find this 40 color make-up palette by love and beauty by F21 for $12! I've been wanting to experiment with more eyeshadow colors but didn't want to spend a lot of money, so this was perrrrfect!

I'm always on the hunt for statement rings and forever 21 is one of my favorite places for them since they are unbelievably cheap. I got this oblong black stone ring for $2.80! Ah so exciting, I didn't even think twice about it.

In the second picture from the to you can slightly see my tattoo on my forearm. I thought i'd post a close up of what it really is. I got it a little over a year ago. In french it translates to "to put in scene". I did some set design for a few independent films last year and fell in love with every aspect of film. The term Mise en scene is used on set when a new scene is being shot and the director needs to know what characters, lighting set up, set decor etc will be used in the scene, aka Mise en scene! ...I love it =)

*New Blog Name!!*

Hello fellow bloggers!~ I recently decided to change the name and purpose of my blog. When I first created it I wanted to focus on only Vintage fashion and findings. I thought I'd post once a week or so and see how it went. I became more and more passionate about my blogging, wanting to post more and more! and realized that I want to blog about everything from my own outfits, fashion inspirations, Make-up, Hair, etc etc. I felt restricted to "Vintage" since it was how I first introduced my blog.

I changed the name to "Lipstick and Lace", two feminine nouns that I love together! I found two images online and merged them together to create a new blog title. I now feel less constricted to post about anything and everything! I still love and will post Vintage findings, but will post more on my all around love for fashion, styles etc.

Can't wait to share more posts with you!
